It is the opposite of\u00a0<a title=\"Industrialisation\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Industrialisation\">industrialization<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Which is a lot of what I shoot in urban areas. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t realize this was the name for it. \u00a0The factories in Johnstown, PA are a good example. \u00a0Some are still in use. \u00a0Some are gone. \u00a0The work we do changes, and the tools and places we work adapts or goes away.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the work I do in the fields and rural areas are similar. \u00a0These places were useful at their time, then they became less useful, and\u00a0they are left to decay. \u00a0Sometimes they are torn down before they fall down. \u00a0Sometimes, they are barely standing.<\/p>\n<p>It can be hard to pinpoint what interests me about these places. \u00a0Sometimes it&#8217;s really easy. \u00a0One\u00a0day, I&#8217;ll be able to come up with a concise way of putting it. \u00a0For now, I go with what feels right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day 336 Today I read the word &#8220;deindustrialization,&#8221; which sounded made up on first glance, but isn&#8217;t. \u00a0Wikipedia defines it as: Deindustrialization or deindustrialisation is a process of social and economic change caused by the removal or reduction ofindustrial capacity or activity in a country or region, especially heavy industry or manufacturing industry.
