Day\u00a0156 \/ 520 –<\/p>\n

I’m reading “It’s Not About The F-Stop” by Jay Maisel. \u00a0It’s a photography book about the art and craft of photography, not about the technical details. \u00a0There is still a ton I have to learn about photography, but I find that I like to take what I know, use it, get to a point that I’m ready for the next lesson, learn it, then use and repeat. \u00a0I don’t just want to learn everything technical and then try to make perfect pictures.<\/p>\n

But I sometimes need to be reminded that this is an art, and there is craft involved, and you can’t force a photo. \u00a0You have to go looking for it, which also means you have to be open to it.<\/p>\n

But the book is also making me look back at my old photos a bit, pulling out things I didn’t work on because it wasn’t in the 365 project. \u00a0There are some things I really liked that I shot, and I either forgot about them or pushed them so far back on the burner that I didn’t think much of them.<\/p>\n

So while I’m revisiting a few old photos, it comes from the inspiration to see what I left behind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
